"Just John" is located in the heart of the Grove District, where the Gay and Lesbian community plays. You can always find something happening at Just John. Just remember, "It All Starts Here." Now we are open until 3am on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday... so "It All Stays Here!!!"

Why the name "Just John" ?

Yes, there is a story...
Back in 1990 our owner, Diane, met “John,” who introduced her to the gay community. Together, they checked out gay clubs all around the world, and through John, Diane met Fred (Freddie.)

While visiting these clubs, John always carried personalized cards, which he used to introduce himself. On the cards was his kindergarten picture, and only two words - “Just John”.

So, when Diane discovered that she could no longer use the “Freddie’s” name, with only twenty minutes to come up with a new one, she phoned John and asked if he would mind her using his “Just John” logo. Of course, he was honored, and so we had our new name.
